Geoff Shearer has been a journalist for almost 30 years, working in newspapers and magazines for various media organisations across Australia. Based in Brisbane, he is currently a night editor for The Courier-Mail and Sunday Mail, and previously held positions with the publications as entertainment editor and opinions editor.  Geoff is the recipient of numerous MEAA Clarion Awards and News Corp Australia Awards and is a highly regarded short-length and long-length feature writer. He has worked as national features editor for TV Week and was a regular columnist for the magazine. Geoff’s creative writing ranges from published short stories to several completed and ‘in progress’ novels and screenplays. He has several television concepts in various stages of development, including a primetime network drama series that was developed through collaboration with a major Australian production company.
